Admire beautiful and exotic flamingos as you visit a port full of mystery and relax on an informational boat ride
Located 96 kilometers southwest of Merida, this mysterious port is home to some of the most exotic species of the Yucatan. A wonderful boat ride will take you through the mangroves. Pink flamingos give a spectacular show as they fly just overhead. The estuary is their natural breeding ground after long flights along the eastern coast.
Visitors can also beat the heat by taking a dip in the sweet, fresh-water coming up from the "ojos de agua," literally eyes of water, hidden among the natural tunnels of the estuary formed among the mangroves. Nothing surpasses the trips down the estuary to its spectacular rendezvous with the sea. In the heart of the town, a beach of unequalled beauty will be awaiting you to finalize your day tour.
Tours departs from Merida at 9:00am and return at 6:00pm.
