Observe some specimens of the more of 500 species of birds that inhabiting the Yucatan Peninsula like the Pink Flamingos
Begin your journey with a pickup service from your hotel before the sunrise to get very early in the morning to Celestun, located about 60 miles south-west of Merida. At the surrounding of this natural reserve you and your guide will go at dawn to search some of the most exotic birds who live in this mysterious place of the Mayan World.
You will be able to find exotic species of birds like the Yucatan Jay, Lesser yellow-headed Vulture, Great Curassow, Barred Forest Falcon, the Yucatecan Woodpecker, Orange Oriole and much more.
After a coffee break (not included) you will continue this birdwatching activity with a boat ride that will takes you through the mangroves, while pink flamingos provide an amazing show as they pass overhead. The estuary is their natural breeding ground, where they return after long flights along the eastern coast.
At the end of your journey you will be transfer back to your hotel, arriving at Merida around noon approximately.
